Our story started in 1989 when Nigel Hunt started trading as Peak Rock. 10 years later, after a trip to Cuba, he fell in love with the Pearl of the Caribbean. Later, realising that access to Cuban literature and maps was limited, he created CubaDirecto, a website that has become a meeting point for all Cuba aficionados and tourists in need of informative books about travel to this beautiful country. Over the years we have expanded our range of books and we also sell Cuban maps and Cuban coffee.
Poco a poco, we are growing and we secretly hope to be a leader in the market. But no worries, our main priority at CubaDirecto will always remain you and the Cuban products we offer.
Located in Battersea Park, London, we are a bunch of people passionate about Cuba. Every day we are doing our best to find books related to the beauty and culture of this particular island. We have also interest in maps in order to provide the best options to help you find your way through the "calle" and "autopista" of Cuba.
We are constantly developing other Cuban products. Because everybody likes a nice cup of coffee with a nice book, nothing is better than sipping some Cuban caffeine while reading about its history.
Every order we received, we perceive it as a way to help you to prepare your travel or to share our passion with you. We like to think we are not only an online store, but a companion for your travel. You can pay us a visit whenever you feel like, you will be warmly welcomed. Moreover, we are sharing our office with Cubaism, a travel agency and tour operator specialising in one country. Can you guess which one? Of Course Cuba. So maybe these guys will be able to make Cuba for your bucket list!
